History of MSEUF Library

Introduction

MSEUF UNIVERSITY LIBRARY
TheLibraryComplexisLocatedalongtheCalayaanCircleatManuelS.EnvergaUniversityFoundation, Lucena City.The Library is the biggest library here at Southern Tagalog Region.
Arguably the new most famous landmark of Enverga University, the MSEUF Library Complex is one of the most modern educational facilities of its kind in the country. Aside from housing all departmental libraries, it also contains the M.S.E. Museum and Memorabilia.

MILESTONE IN THE HISTORY OF UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

1947

The Luzonian Colleges was one small room, with used to be a garage in the old Lopez building located at the Poblacion.


It had about 1200 Volume of books, some them were donated or loaned by the Founder and the faculties.
Carmen A. Forcadela organized the library with one Library

1970

the first owned building of the schools was established in the corner of Granja and Cabana street both high school and college library were located at the 4th floor.

it had 100 seating capacity.

1958

The book colleted grew substantially in reach 4629 volumes.

Rosalinda Tambiloc was promoted to assistant Librarian and Nora Ratuiste and Lydia Manalo appointed Librarians.

1960’s

Additional library was founded for grade school in another building in the corner of Granja and Burgos Street.


1963

Due to the raised in members of the student in technology department they required another library.


March 28, 1963

MSEUF was normally organized and established to complement the University.


Aug. 1, 1965

Ms. Forcadela became the Chief Librarian


1969

The main library became the High School and Law Library

The innovation of library system was the organization of audio-visual center, adjacent to the main library.
It had movie projector for 8mm audio-visual materials and a music room with recording and playback devices.
Another library was built for commerce, technology, and architecture building.
Library collection grew to 22 071 volumes.

July 1971

Nora R. Bardelosa took the position as new Chief librarian.


Aug. 29 1985

They named the main library as Dr. Tobias Y. Enverga Memorial Library to honor the Executive Vice President.

During the ceremony his daughter announced that they will donate 500 books from the collection of her late father.
The other branches of the library system are located in the Architecture building, Physical Education, High School and Elementary departments. The MSEUF Library
